GPOV – Povidone Iodine Antiseptic Ointment is a topical antiseptic formulation containing povidone-iodine 10% w/w (providing 1% available iodine) as its active ingredient. It is designed for first aid and the prevention of infection in minor cuts, wounds, burns, abrasions, and blisters. Povidone-iodine is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa, making it suitable for a wide range of minor skin injuries and infections.

Product Description:
1. Active Ingredient: Povidone-iodine 10% w/w (1% available iodine)
2. Purpose: First aid antiseptic for topical use
3. Uses:
– Helps prevent infection in minor cuts, wounds, burns, abrasions, and blisters
– Treats minor skin infections, including those around the nails
4. Mechanism: Works by gradually releasing iodine, which kills a wide range of microorganisms by disrupting their cellular function
5. Directions for Use: Apply a thin layer to the clean, affected area 2–3 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. The area may be covered with a sterile bandage after application.
